Cancelations

All activities are canceled for Friday, February 24.

Owatonna High School’s performance of The Little Mermaid has also been canceled for Friday, February 24. 

 

  • All tickets for Friday’s performance will be transferred to a new show on Sunday, February 26 at 7pm -  same seat, different date. 

 

  • If you cannot make this show, you can get a refund on February 25 or 26 from 12pm-1pm or 6pm-7pm at OHS.  You can also get a refund from 7:30am-3:45pm at the OHS office on February 27 and 28. 

 

  • PLEASE NOTE!  Any seat not occupied by 7pm on Sunday, February 26 will be released to the general public. 

 

SPRING SPORTS INFORMATION MEETINGS

Boys Track had a meeting last Thursday. If anyone missed it, they should stop by Coach Stelter’s room G-317 to get information.

Girls Track has already had the information/registration meeting.  If anyone needs information, they should stop and see Mrs. Christensen or Mr. Swank.  Information is also on the girls track activities website about the start of the season. http://www.owatonnaactivities.com/page/show/1967334-girls-track-2016-

Boys Tennis informational meeting will be on February 27 @ 7:00 pm in OHS media center.

Boys Lacrosse will be Tues, March 7th at 6pm in the small group forum.

Baseball Meeting, Grades 9 – 12   Monday, March 13 at 6:00 PM in the Small Group Forum (OHS)

Boys Golf Parent & Player Meeting Tuesday, March 14 from 6:30-7:30 -Small Group Forum

Kids First Spring Parent/Athlete meeting ,Tuesday, March 7- 7:00-8:30     OJHS – Small Gym

Friday Basketball Games vs Austin Changed to Thursday!!!

Due to the forecasted storm, the Girls & Boys Basketball games scheduled for Friday have been changed to Thursday.

OHS Boys will travel to Austin  and Owatonna will host the Austin Girls.

All times will remain the same as the original Friday schedule.

 

OHS Spring Sports - Sign Up Information

Registrations for OHS Spring Sports are now open.  You must sign up and pay on-line at FeePay.  Please click on the "Online Registration" tab on the left for additional information & instructions.  If familiar with the registration process, click on this FeePay Link to begin.  Sports Physicals are required once every (3) three years.

Fees are $155.00 or $78.00 if you qualify for free lunch.

Family Max for sports is $465.00 per household (Does not include Clay Target Shooting, Marching Band, Instrument Rental, Drivers Ed).  If you believe you've met the Family Max, contact Tracy Chadderdon at 444-8988 prior to signing up.

Athletes - You MUST sign up prior to your 1st official day of practice to be eligible for try-outs/practices.  See below for the official MSHSL practice start days:

Softball - March 13

Baseball - March 20

Boys & Girls Golf - March 20 - DEPENDING ON WEATHER CONDITIONS

Inclement Weather Policy

Inclement Weather Policy:

In the event of inclement weather, OHS will adhere to the following procedures: Practices under any of the following must be approved by the Athletic Director prior to practicing. In addition, all practices must be held after the teacher work day.

  1. Late Starts
    1. In the event of a late start, all morning practices will be cancelled.
    2. In the event of a late start, all afternoon/evening practices and/or games will remain on as scheduled.
  2. Early Outs
    1. In the event of an early out due to inclement weather all practices/games for the evening will be postponed.
    2. Special consideration will be given to teams competing in a section or state tournament that evening. Determination will be at the AD’s discretion.
    3. Special consideration may be given to teams who have section or state tournament games on the following day. Determination will be at the AD’s discretion.
  3. School Cancelation
    1. In the event of a school cancelation due to inclement weather the administration will make the final decision based on the weather patterns for the rest of the day. We will always caution on the side of safety.
    2. Safety for our students will be the number one priority.
    3. Coaches cannot have practice during the work day if they have teaching responsibilities to adhere to.
  4. In the event practices are held during inclement weather they are to be considered voluntary in nature and attendance is at the sole discretion of the guardian of each student. Coaches cannot make these practices mandatory; absences in these instances cannot be held against any student (Playtime, discipline, etc.) 

Winter Activities Have Begun

Owatonna High School winter activities have begun. The only doors open during events at the High School are the Indian Doors #16 on E School Street.

Sporting Events

Adult including Seniors tickets $7

Students K-12 $5

 

Student & Adult Activity Ticket Pricing:

  • Student (K-12) - $40.00
  • Adults - Individual $90.00; Couple $140.00; Senior Citizen (age 62 & over) $40.00
  • Replacement cards $5.00

Tickets can be purchases at the OHS Activities Office.  Cash and Checks are accepted.
