Clay Target Shooting

Owatonna Clay Target Team
Inaugural Season – Spring 2017

$300 fee will cover:
1. Team uniform- shooting vest, shirt and hat
2. MSHSCL Athlete Participation Fee
3. Ammunition for the Spring League
4. Targets for the Spring League 
5. Not part of the High School Family maximum fee 
6. Team limited to 60 student athletes this year.

Student Athlete will need to have completed a Firearm Safety Course or the leagues SAFE Program.

Student Athlete will need to provide their own 12 or 20 gauge shotgun.

The season will run end of March – June 24. The Owatonna Gun Club, south of Hope, will be the home range. OCTT will shoot on Wednesday evenings at 4:00. All meets will be shot at home range and results entered on-line by coaches, except State Tournament.

February 16: OCTT team meeting 6:30-8:00

April 5: Practice Week 1. Each team will practice on their designated shooting day(s). 

April 12: Practice Week 2. 

April 19: Reserve Week. Scores are submitted via the coach’s Team Management System. These scores are saved for future use for the entire team if a team’s scheduled Competition Week is cancelled.

April 26: Competition Week 1. Shoot on your scheduled day(s) during the week and compete against all teams in your conference.

May 3: Competition Week 2. 

May 10: Competition Week 3.

May 17: Competition Week 4. 

May 24: Competition Week 5. Final team and individual results are published May 30th at 9:30 p.m. 

May 31: Fun Week. Invite family and school officials. Host picnic. Try skeet shooting, sporting clays or games like Annie Oakley. Parents/school officials versus student athlete games. Have fun!!!

June 12-20: Trap Shooting Championship in Alexandria, MN

June 22: MSHSL State Tournament field assignment schedule announced

June 24: Minnesota State High School League State Tournament in Prior Lake The OCTT will be School Lettering eligible. MN High School Clay Target League website - http://mnclaytarget.com Click on Leagues and Rules for most needed information.
